Taki Theodoracopulos‘s “Remembering Norman” (Reflections: Norman Mailer at 100, p. 94) praises Mailer’s loyalty and courage. At a dinner in Mailer’s Brooklyn house for Abe Rosenthal of The New York Times, whose wife refused to sit next to Taki, Mailer seated him at his own right. Taki also recalls Mailer teaching him to head-butt.
