Bibliography 2022

A post-2016 year. It opens in August with the first published selection from Mailer’s mid-1950s “Lipton’s Journal” — Saint and Psychopath in the TLS, edited by Lennon, Lucas, and Susan Mailer — and is also the first year to carry two about-kind Work pages. J. Michael Lennon — Mailer’s biographer and a founding editor of this project — publishes Mailer’s Last Days: New and Selected Remembrances of a Life in Literature (Etruscan Press), a collection of memoir, criticism, and remembrance in which Mailer is a central figure; it is the register’s first about Work page by one of the project’s own founding editors. Eight days later, Robert J. Begiebing publishes Norman Mailer at 100: Conversations, Correlations, Confrontations (Louisiana State University Press), a hybrid centenary collection that would win the Robert F. Lucid Award for Mailer Studies.
